Easy Six-Ingredient Acai Bowl // Vegan and Gluten Free

easy 6 ingredient acai bowl vegan gluten freeCheers to a new week! Since I am on a self-care kick, and being a very on-brand Millenial this week, let's talk acai bowls. I've been seeing them everywhere in this town, and I love them, but the sugar content and cost of indulging one of these beauties weekly would ruin me. Last week I found these unsweetened acai packets in the frozen section, and I thought I would try to DIY-it at home. These are seriously so simple and good I had to share. This easy, 6-ingredient acai bowl is also low sugar, vegan, and gluten free!

Ingredients:

Bob's Red Mill Hemp Powder (2 tbsps. or more according to your preferred taste)1 bananaAcai packet (unsweetened)Purely Elizabeth GranolaChia SeedsWater or nut milk

Directions:

1. Slightly thaw a packet of acai in warm water. I do it just enough to open it. I tried to leave it pretty frozen so the end result is nice & cold when blended.2. Add acai, a little water or almond milk, hemp powder, and banana to a blender. Avocados, strawberries, cherries & blueberries would also make great additions.3. Blend until smooth.4. Pour into bowl and top with chia seeds, other half of banana, and granola. I also would've added shredded coconut if I had it on hand, but I'm all out.ps.  I added a little extra banana on top, and then fed the rest to Josie. We gave her carrots, bananas, and peanut butter in lieu of traditional dog treats when she was a pup and now she is obsessed.easy 6 ingredient acai bowl vegan gluten freeEnjoy!! This made the perfect post-workout snack for me, but would honestly taste good any time.If you make this I'd love to see your creations over on instagram, so be sure to tag me! Hope you have the best week.
